hi guys i have a jtag console and want to install xbmc for 360,i copy the file over and when i click to play it says i must update the xbox to be backwards compatible,but i have the latest dashboard and cant find any b\compat update on xbox.com.any ideas

theres a hacked backwards compatibility partition available google is you friend
it needs put onto your hdd under the hddx partition to work.
wack it onto usb pen and use xexmenu/FSD file manager to copy it over

.... but XBMC still won't work. There is no XBMC for the 360. There is a skin for XBMC called XBMC360, but that's completely different.

Indeed.
If he wants xbmc he will ether need and old xbox 1 or install the PC version onto his computer.

Maybe some day we will have gfx drivers for 360 in linux.
Booting xell right into xbmc. Man, that would be sexy.

Yes it would be and i believe its getting closer to reality with the work thats going on now, we have a media player so its getting there
