one of my friends just got banned from live consele only
his consele was never flag at least by ap.25 check
drive was a lite-on LT1.9

my slim is not banned, would like to know if any slim has gotten banned
balbaid
They banned me last night. Jasper Arcade flashed to 1.91. Nobody I know is banned so far. Time will tell if it's really a ban wave or not.
digipimp75
Before we cause another panic here, what kind of ban are we talking about? Console or account ban? There have been a lot of account bans lately, for those who are playing on Live with hacked profiles.

What exactly did the message say?
balbaid
It was a console ban for me. My profile is fine.

I do Live support, and I can confirm many people are calling with ban issues.

xval is irrelevant my friend was banned never played a ap2.5 game that wasn't original.

To say it is irrelevant isn't totally true. If you are flagged for whatever reason and you check it before you go on live every time, you will know if you have been flagged before you connect and could possibly intervene before the ban.

it is irrelevant, it states in the notes its not a 100% correct if your flagged or not. which all in all it doesnt matter. if your console is flashed they will find you no matter. even if you have a flashed console and only got online to play arcade games and never popped a disk in they could still find you.

Yeah benq ixtreme 1.91 just yesterday

I think this ban wave has to do with people trading/selling/stealing other peoples gamertags. nothign to do with flashing firmwares.

but don't quote me on that.

Never did anything like that...The spring dashboard update installed OS firmware on the drive so i was without my games for the longest time. Than i finally upgraded to ixtreme 1.91 on the benq a little over a week ago. I played need for speed shift, shift 2, and just on wednesday night was Dead island....logged on this sunday and i was banned.

Probably because you installed the update and let it overwrite your modified firmware, rather than flashing back to stock firmware before updating the dashboard.

yeah its possible it took them a week or so to detect the ixtreme 1.91, because everything passed AGBX.

I don't know what constitutes a ban this time around because I have 2 X360's that had the exact same procedure done to them (to get flagged) and one of them was banned and the other still works fine. XVal reported that AP2.5 failed on both and only one was banned. Not sure why the other one still works, but I'll
keep on keeping on with it for all I care, when it bans I'll go grab me a GoW3 Console (knock on *my* wood). :-)

I'll post if/when I get banned or any findings.

Edit: I did have both set to stock during the last update, flashed them both to 1.9, then flashed only 1 back to stock. Only the 1 that was stock got banned. Strange to me.
trivium91
Any news on the bannings? I just bought another xbox but im afraid to run ixtreme because my last one got banned for no appearent reason.

what is ap 2.5?

i was running my games need for speed shift 2, and dead island which passed all the checks and downloaded the necessary files automotacially. so i dont know.

c4eva already stated that the xkey isn't Live safe. I don't think any ODE are safe on Live to be honest. Maybe more features can be added to make them more safe but definitely not now & maybe never. Then again, nothing is 100% Live safe either. ohmy.gif

See the key word there, bud? If you don't rip your own backups, you could have had a bad rip. Dead Island is XGD3, did you use iXtreme Burner Max to rip it or did you just truncated the burn? Before you were banned, did you check Xval to see if you were flagged for a failed AP25 check? So far there is nothing I'd call a wave, dude. My guess is you used a dirty disc you just thought was clean.

Burner Max is to BURN backups, not rip them. 0800 firmware is for ripping, and even truncate without burner max you should not get banned (according to c4). And I'm not sure what you're talking about in the last part, they don't ban people for using dirty discs lol

Bah, I meant to type burning, not ripping. Whoopie shit . And C4 says a lot of shit, he's not infallible. As for dirty discs, I meant corrupt CRC and bad rips, dipshit. My point was that he probably wasn't banned for no reason, thanks for focusing on everything but the point.

As soon as xgd3 apeared, any ideas of full protection went out the window imo.
jaroc
^But there is full protection... at the moment. Just have to burn your xgd3 backups with the right burner/firmware. I haven't been banned yet lol.

So the point you were trying to make was he wasn't banned for no reason.... very insightful thinking there

questions here

was the dvd rom flashed before using the xkey ?
was lego checked threw abgx ?

if you where dvd rom flashed before then u could have been flagged before handed
if the lego disc u where using was not checked threw abgx then it could have been bad.

Any bans from people using LT+ 3.0 yet? Didn't read every post but it seemed you guys all got banned for going online with LT 1.x Probably took them a while to detect the firmware on every single model drive! heh.
