I just want to confirm that it's possible to swap the pcb from one model of fat liteon to another model of fat liteon because somebodys going to give me a 2008 jasper xbox with open tray which I guess has an older model of liteon. Im planning to switch the drive out with one I pulled from my 2009 jasper that I use for Rgh. Any help appreciated, thanks.

As long as you're keeping the PCB with its paired motherboard, there should be no issue.
