ive got an old PC with IDE and no satas and want to get into burning new games,but ive got a via chipset installed for JF,would a liteon drive for flashing XGD3 'S work ok in one of the sata ports from the via chipset ????

If you mean a lite-on drive for BURNING (ihasx24b) then yea, it'll work in any sata chipset
