Can anyone post they're Xbox sata drives, adapters you are using and which program you used to format it.
I have been trying to use xboxhdm to create from scratch but it doesent see the drive. Sooner or later I'm going to try chimp but if it fails I'd like a list of parts that people have gotten to work (and figure which adapter is the most reliable)

Already saw it, half the links are dead or the products are discontinued. I was hoping to hear from those who already have done this more recently and get a bit more modern list of working adapters.

for drives i only use 2tb drives (why not? dam near the same price. make sure you read about the xbparitioner 1.0 and 1.1 bug). right now i just used a SAMSUNG EcoGreen F4 HD204UI 2TB. but i had to use it on a xbox that is TSOP'ed because the drive needs time to wind up. didnt work on a softmodded

its more likely your adapter then your drive. ive had to go through a few that didnt work.
