thank you for any and all help provided,
how do I return my DVD drive to stock, I want to re flash it with ixtreme max. I have a ihas324b. WHen I put a dl DVD in the drive the drive reads it as a cd and shows 0 bytes of space on it.

Did you follow the iXtreme burner max tutorial?
The first step is to use EEProm and flash utility to backup your current firmware and EEProm info.
Otherwise, just go to Liteon website and download the latest ihas324 firmware from them.
