Ive softmodded my xbox with the hexen cd and everything went smoothly with the original stock hard drive. I am trying to upgrade to a 1 TB WD Caviar hard drive, which has locked and unlocked perfectly with xboxhdm everytime. Anyway, I follow the instuctions on Hexen for the upgrade, everything goes fine up until the formatting process. It formats C,E, then gets stuck on X everytime. A little background, I have three modded xbox's here and have tried it on each one. Its a sata drive and have bought three different adapters as well. The last thing i tried was i FTP'd all of hexens files straight to my 1 TB and it still wont work. It just keeps reading error 13 or 7, it does 7 when i change jumper settings, and yes, ive tried every possible jumper config there possibly is...any help appreciated!!

You need to use xbpartitioner to format the extended partitions of the hdd ( f or f and g ) after you setup your dash files, load it as an app and run it.
