C4E's iXtreme LTplus v3.0 for BenQ and FAT Lite-On

C4E released the iXtreme LT+ v3.0 CFW for the BenQ (Philips-BENQ/LiteOn VAD6038/1650V) and FAT Lite-On (Philips-LiteOn VAD6039/DG-16D2S) drives:
C4E's iXtreme LT+ in association with Team Jungle & Team Xecuter Official release of the iXtreme LT+ v3.0 for Benq and phat Liteons - Support for topology data on AP25 enabled titles. Will correctly answer any ap25 challenge eliminating need for dae.bin to create a backup. - No need to make new backups everytime dae.bin is updated on console
Topology Data When ap25 was first introduced I devised a way of calculating any challenge which I called the silver bullet which I made reference to a long time ago. This was withheld until it was absolutely necessary. It was easier to replay the fixed challenges. With unique per console ap25 challenges it has become necessary to use the silver bullet. A series of measurements are taken across the disk. This topology data is then used to calculate a response to any ap25 challenge. It is very important that the drive used to create the topology data is reliable at reading discs as bad topology data equals bad ap25 responses. Liteon drives using 0800 v3 seem to be more accurate for this purpose. Only ap25 enabled titles require topology data. Activation of ap25 on older non-ap25 games although technically possible is highly unlikely. Currently topology data for xgd3 titles are similar and topology data from one xgd3 title will pass on another xgd3 title although this is not advisable. Per title title topology data is best as there are slight differences between titles and newer titles could have different topology than existing ones.
I would like to wish everyone a merry xmas and a happy new year. I look forward to the challenges ahead.
Thanks go to Team Jungle for their hard work and efforts in the development process. Thanks also go to Team Xecuter for their support to this project.
Do we need to wait for XGD3 games to be re-ripped in order to obtain the topology data so we can patch and re-burn our backups?
PhyChris
Dec 25 2011, 05:11 AM
yes, you need to re-rip ap2.5 data with the new Xbox Backup Creator v2.9

So if I re-rip my original using the new XBC and my 0800 3.0 will it get the topology data? Thats the way I understood it.
I realize that with existing ISOs I will need to get the topology patch.
Just making sure I got this straight.
Also when I loaded the new XBC it said it was missing the DAE.bin. Do I ignore that or is it needed too?
THANKS A MILLION to C4eva and the whole team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks,

Similar question here, are current truncated XGD3 backups working on LT+ 3.0 or they have to be re-ripped/patched with topology data and only than they will work?
I am referring to the following information:
QUOTE
Version 3.0 of iXtreme LT+ for BenQ and Lite-On (both phat and slim) does in fact retain support for truncated backups
>> From c4evaspeaks.com
Should I interpret this as support incorporated in the LT+ 3.0 for current truncated XGD3 backups?

From my tests the Truncated games ive burnt still need patching, but can still be burnt truncated once patched.

Yea i would hate this i would manually get the file. If i used this 1.1 it would not load the latest games. Not
sure why jungleflasher did this cuz it used to know what was the latest firmware!

Obviously not, as the new firmware came out late last night and the last release of JungleFlasher was 26th November. They only need to update the definitions to recognise the new firmware correctly, which will be a quick change (unless they're working on any other features for the next release) and the release usually follows immediately after a new firmware version - but they probably won't get around to it today!
It will still work fine without officially recognising the new firmware, though.
The Benq firmware, LTPlus-0442-v3.0.bin, is showing as LT-Plus 2.0.

so i have a console that is blocked on my router from accessing live (not banned). I don't care about accessing live now or in the future. Do I still need to flash the drive with v3 in order to play burned games going forward?

Until you update your dash, you strictly speaking dont need to, but you would be well advised to, in order to future-proof your backups.
I think I will be sticking to my own generated topo's and steering clear of the 'median' patch(es) I've been hearing about... I guess this system might still work-out for both sides after all ;-)
Hope the new AGBX has means to single out any patching of such (I'm sure it will, as it's a well put-2gether app in my experience)
Wow the noob-support thread element seems a little more noobsih than usual.. I guess we normally have an FAQ up by now that covers most of it, (I guess some ppl don't even read the news articles anyways ;-) But given the time of year: I'm happy to be getting my XS RSS as normal.
Merry Xmas and a happy new year all.

Hi guys,
I've just got done flashing my liteon 93450 back to stock and then to LT 3.0. Everything seemed to go well, my 360 booted a backup straight away but when I boot with my original MW3 I get error E66. Does anyone have any idea what's wrong?
Thanks in advance.

My console if offline only so I have not updated in since when the last disc-forced update was released earlier this year.
Will all my current XGD3 games work with this new f/w until I update my dash?

No, LT3 requires you to re-patch any ap 2.5 game and reburn, it is using a whole different system for ap2.5, whether you are online or offfline it makes no difference.

did you re-patch and re-burn the games when you got lt3.0? if so what patches did you use? where did you get them? It sounds as if they arent patched properly.

I dont think it is smart to go on live while using truncated burns, is not safe as said many times before just buy a cheap ihas drive...
