I just finished my switch mod.

In original mode:
    Xecuter Coolrunner off
    500GB internal HDD off
    internal 4GB MU on
Winbond SPI active in drive with original firmware (MXIC with iXtreme off)
    original NAND active
In RGH mode:
    Xecuter Coolrunner on
    500GB internal HDD on
    internal 4GB MU off
MXIC SPI active in drive with iXtreme firmware
XD-card NAND active with different keyvault and MAC address
Also SMC resets when switching modes. No need to disconnect power supply.
I used a 4xON-ON switch. SPI and NAND select wired directly to the switch. SMC as diagram below. Coolrunner and HDD with P-FET and 4GB with a relay (did not work with p-fet).

That's awesome, any reason behind the two different NAND's in this setup?

That is one of the main advantages. You can't have an original mode with a NAND image made for RGH.
One NAND got original image and the other one got a image for RGH. Full original mode in one switch position and RGH in other position.

In original mode you can play in Live!, download game updates and XBLA games etc.

The RGH mode got different key vault and MAC address so you won't get banned in original mode even if you connect to Live! in RGH mode.

I am trying to assemble this and am not sure on it. what all do I need to get to make it? Also can you explain how this works as well?

I got a cheap cygnos360v2 Rev E board that someone removed from a quick solder job and they burned the board with a butane torch soldering iron. the dual nand part of the mod works great but with "X0" soldered to pin 5 it doesnt reset the southbridge. I am thinking a trace is broken that I cant see and am not sure of an alt point. I was wondering if I might be able to incorporate this into my cygnos. Thank you.

Anybody try this yet and have a better photo of how it works?

I was thinking of doing the dual fw using a Matrix freedom pcb. took the on/off switch (that handles the spi lock/unlock) out and sandwiched a 2nd spi (1 mxic 1 winbond) on top. First i tried switching CS (chip select) no go, it gave me a status FF, then VCC and CS same thing. We discussed this in xbox hacker a long time ago and i tried looking for it but they've been offline for a while, thought i ask here for your help (lousy memory), what i am doing wrong here ?

Thanks

Done. I just forgot to put a resistor to pull-up CS. I used 10k ohms now it's perfect Lizard is detecting both spi s.

can you explain a little better? i quit don't get on how to do this.

thanks
