For my first post I need some help to finally sort out my Xbox and TV resolutions problems.
I have an Xbox 360, KV32FX60U Sony TV and an EMPREX LE1708 17" LCD monitor.
If I connect the Xbox to the Sony TV using one of these (my cable doesn't have the extra blue, blue and red, just the yellow white and red on the side), by plugging the cables into the scart the TV displays the Xbox 360 but it's messed up. When I go 50Hz frequency, and widescreen the TV adapts itself (it's got some smart feature that changes the resolution to fit in) and everything is fine. However when I go to 60Hz the TV changes its resolution and it cuts of quite a chunk from the top and the bottom, making it really hard to play any game. Is there some way around this?
In hoping to sort out that problem I bought this cable. I plug the HDMI end into the Xbox and then the blue VGA end into my computer, the computer doesn't show up anything at all. What am I doing wrong?
Any help with how to get either one to work would be greately appreciated. I'd prefer to have HDMI on the big sony TV, but it only has a scart input, so there's no way to do that is there?
