I decided to cut out my memory unit sockets to make a vent hole in the face plate to bring fresh air in though the front of my new jasper arcade... I cut the holes and pulled the sockets off the board, but when I did it I snapped one of the resistors off of its tracer. It appears to be to the memory unit sockets so I figure it won't hurt anything, and the Xbox is running fine, but just incase, is there a possibility of a short out or XBL ban or something?

More than likely not, the xbox's are not fit to read a missing resistor or not, there will just be no power and I would advise never putting in a memory card for the sake of safety. Sounds like a cool mod, should post pictures.

Gazc0igne you could move the M/C ports though, depending if you have the console upright or laid down, you could put the ports either on the top or the back (above the power plug)>?
