How do i get my eeprom?

thats true, but not everyone has the skills or knowledge or tools or even money to aquire/build a eeprom reader
i was just asking if they had a softmodded xbox since if they do, they can do it for free, and if they dont, they could just hotswap their hdd, and ndure it, configmagic, then ftp to computer all free.
yeah it might have a few more steps, a little more round about, but i always take the cheapest path

Yes, there are plenty of guides on how to Hotswap softmod your system, as for getting your eeprom using a dash, i used the ndure and xboxhdm way to get a custom dash, then i loaded config magic, then backed up eeprom, then finally i finished up by ftping that over.

That tutorial assumes that the dash is already at version 5960. If you read the link in my signature - Softmod with hotswap - it outlines the more complete version of softmod with hotswap.
