When I burn XGD3 backups using ihas524 (ihas324 crossflashed to ihas524) on image burn 2.5.6, I don't get and option to over-burn or truncate, it just burns. Backup games boots fine on LT+3.0 and passes all checks when I verify the disc with ABGX360 v1.0.6. I'm using verbatim MKM-003 and burning at 2.4 speed.

Is this alright/normal or am I doing something wrong?

Backups burnt so far are: COD Balckops, forza 4, and Halo anniversary.

But why do tutorials show this option of selecting truncate or overburn and why are people having truncate and overburn options?

I haven't seen the tutorials, so I can't say.
