I want to upgrade my XBL account to gold but it kept asking for a US address even though the machine was bought in Australia and I reside in the Philippines (and don't ask 'bout PayPal 'cause when I used my account it still refuse to accept it).
Is there a way of doing it without the need of a US address and w/out using services like bongous.com (in which I don't know if it's safe or legal). Please I'm desperate here.

Try going to xbox.com, then xbox live tab, then join Xbox live.

I already have a Xbox live account. But the question is can I upgrade it to the gold account WITHOUT a US address.
That is what I'm asking.

Find a phone book for the united states, or under yellow.com or ask for a friends address info *and not over xbox live!. Be advised if your account is ever hacked you'll need a photo id to verify THAT address to get it back!

I sort of did the same for ps3 to access the euro store, and just used paypal for payments, but I still needed to find a legit euro address. zipcode, city, etc can't just be 12345.... They gotta match up.

Can a usa console even play austrailia games? or is yours modded anyway?
