the fact is that killer instinct was released on arcade machines while later versions were released on consoles

I'm not sure but I think there was a MAME version released that had support for the arcade versions of the KI... not sure tho... if you find it, share the info.

Yep Ki loads on the mame 0.72 v2 by lantus

But it is really slow and you cannot use it

Lantus got the closest but he disappeared last year not sure what happened so therefore it's no longer being developed....I do believe he was involved in the Xbox 1 version of a ki emu..which works apparently

It's really a shame because it was one of the best fighters of it's generation..

I wish I had a clue how to do it...:0(
