Hi all I've been flashing drives for quite some some time
This one has me puzzled
I kamikazeed the drive flashed it went smoothly
But I get open tray error all the time caused by bad data I think because if I don't touch anything the laser lights up bright unless I press the data lead down on the back of the drive firmly then I see the laser dim and then the drive spins up and the games then work I can video this if needed

My immediate thought was sata connection is not making connection properly so I used multi meter and everything is making contact with all seven pins

Any thoughts?

you will see when i press firmly at the rear of the drive on the sata connection the games work
notice i press it down then release you will see laser lens increase voltage and decrease

I see you are moding on a Slim XBOX. Anyway, I can only guess that the fault could be the SATA socket, not the wire/plug itself. Maybe you were little "brutal" on it when you unplugged the drive. So, I recommend to re-solder the SATA socket on the board and come back to tell us what happened.
