hello all hope i am in the right forum for this but my question is simple but not....lol...

can you use a 4gb chip from a slim in the 250gb slim version will it register or will it not
any know this please post would really like to know or is it a console locked chip?

Its not console locked, but i dont think the 250GB board has a spot for it. Cant remember..

It is not locked but if you are putting a 4GB memory chip in a 250GB why not put a 250GB HDD in the 4GB machine. See the 250GB does have a spot for the chip but if you can't solder well you could fry the whole console so its best to buy a 4GB machine then a 250GB HDD and put it into the top. It is what i have done.

You can do it but the KV on the 250gb version may not see the 4gb mem unit. A tutorial can be found here: heavenlymodz.com
