Like does it not work with softmods?
I even tried a chipped xbox but same thing, what needs to be done?
It must have a special way

use an official controller. and let it load. then press start, when it says press f1 press down the right thumb stick.
hope that works for you .
if it does its free of charge.

Search for Guybird's posts. It is based on linux. Guybird once suggested to me to update the linux components but I couldn't figure out how and gave up.

I think it should work if you install everything to E
Mr.Slim
Will it work installed on a 2tb Harddrive? Does partof it need to be installed on E: and the rest on F:
what files exactly?
One guy told me it only works with partitions less then 128gbs, Something like that. true or not?

I tried looking but i cant find thats guys post your talking about, does X-S have a special search bar i dont see?

shambles1980
we dont have a search feature and i dont think its ever going to get fixed.
Im prety sure that it should work on your drive, but you do need to use an official controller.

depending on how your transferd the files over you may notice some failed due to file names prehaps that needs rectifying 1st.

but the only way i had it working was an official controller on 128Mb box.
wasnt that interested in it though so havent used it since.

P.s

about the search, you could just use google to search these forums only.

There is a limitation on Xbox Linux and the size of the FATX partitions. I know the Linux setup in Mugen can't handle it, but it should be able to read E. Maybe ldotsfan knows something..?

Search works perfectly. Top right of the screen, third button from the right, between "Help" and "Members", and helpfully labelled "Search".....

It's standard Google site search, so you can use any of the Google search syntax.

There is a limitation on Xbox Linux and the size of the FATX partitions. I know the Linux setup in Mugen can't handle it, but it should be able to read E.

There are many bundles of XMugen, some with xromwell and others with xbeboot, you can do a search for xbeboot and xmugen. xromwell is hard coded to read a fixed size E FATX partition at a given offset of the hdd. xbeboot uses kernel thunks and may work with a large sized F partition. Among the many unfinished projects I had, the code merge between xbeboot and xromwell is one of them. When xbox linux bootloader moved from xbeboot to cromwell/xromwell, it lost the ability to load the kernel from the same directory as the xbe. I attempted to merge back the 1.6 video stuff from cromwell back to the xbeboot but failed to complete the project - a mess of compilation errors that I didn't have the time to resolve. It would have lifted the bootloader limitation facing not just xmugen but any xbox linux distro and possiblity allow a xbox linux distro to reside in a 32K/64K FATX partition on F/G.

If somebody else wants to have a go at this, I can upload the source code of my attempt.
