Hi.
I have searched and had a look but its not always easy to see the wood for the trees.
We have 2 360's.
One onLine and all working well.
and one for offline which is banned.
The banned unit will not let us save any game progress.
Some games are requesting we log into a profile which then complains that it cannot connect to live and then tells us we can continue to play but cannot save any progress.
it isnt disputing that we are logged into a profile just that we are not logged into live.
have they made it so that you can no longer save game progress if you have a banned Xbox?
having an offline banned Xobx without the abilty to save your games seems a little bit nasty to me.
whats the differance between an offline unit and a banned offline unit ?
Cheers
Max.

is no one able to offer up some advice on this one ?
Are there now games that will only *save* if you are logged into Live ?
Effectively making offline and /or banned consols useless ?

I know banned xbox's corrupt data when transfer over, but when i had mine a while back, from the 2009 ban wave. I saved fine to my profile. I was still able to play everything, maybe you should try blocking live in the family settings.

blocking live in his prefs would have no effect because 1(his box is already banned, and 2(the xbox still connects to live regardless of the settings in your menu, even though it doesnt tell you

I taught it might help, well sorry. I don't know what to tell you then. You can always making the xbox think its unbanned. It was something to do with the nand, and hex editing to change the false to true, so you can move your saves without it being corrupted. BTW, have you tried a different device to make sure? If these options don't work, then maybe someone with greater insight can help you.

Hello
I just have some questions to ask and they might be repeated.
My old xbox was banned in nov 2009.
After that, I have played some games on the banned xbox.
After a while, I brought a xbox slim because I wanted to go on live. I have been uploading games to the cloud, which is soo helpful.
However, I want to copy over the game saves from my old xbox games to the new xbox.
Will this ban my new xbox?
How can I do this?
I was thinking of deleting the games saves from the old xbox after it was banned and putting it on a usb stick (is that possible?) and putting it on the new xbox.
Is this plan workable?
Will the game saves data be corrupted and will it be playable on the new xbox?
please respond
thanks!
