around chrismas i flashed to the newest firmware and installed dash launch right after, and then put FSD2 on there.

Somewhere during all that my eject and power buttons stopped working. the only way i can power my console on is with my controller. The eject and power button on the console do nothing at all. Infact even once the console is on the eject/power buttons still don't work. To open the disc tray i have to do it from the menu with controller.

now my "guess's" as to whats wrong is perhaps dash launch isn't setup right? I can't remember exactly how i setup the .ini but i believe i only mapped one button

my second guess is the firmware i flashed was done wrong somehow. When i first jtaged i used some fancy wire guide by black or w/e his name is, and now i guess its not very popular anymore as its not listed in shrimps or others nand builder.

um so this was my first upgrade since i first jtaged it, i used fbbuild 0.33i think, and i grabbed a dump from the xbox and used that. Then i let fbbuild take the smc ect from that flashdump and i still have that log file so i will try to post it now

so yah if anyone could help me out im starting to think my problem was fbbuild now but not sure what happened or how to fix it

I would start by reflashing to the latest freeBOOT 14719 I think it is, then latest dashlaunch 2.31, but I don't think dashlaunch would mess with your buttons...

Then I would look at rewiring if that fails. You should do the transistor method if you haven't already, you just have to make sure you patch your SMC for AUD CLAMP if you do transistor method. You only need to patch the SMC for HDMI and not on XENONs but the wiring is slightly different for xenons.

If you did the older wire method, you might of soldered to your ROL PCB and maybe that is messing up. I put the link up for the method that you should use.

ok ill try updating the flash.

turns out that wire method is what i used, but shrimps tool or whichever one that has the wire pictures in it, never shows that method so i figuered it was outdated.

i did a little searching and it sounds like maybe my southbridge could have a loose connection possibly, i hope not, hope this flash works

Had the same thing happen to me and it turned out to be Dashlaunch. I can't remember which feature it was but just run Dashlaunch again and don't activate any features to see it that resolves it.
