I'm looking to control my 360's on/off with a USB controlled power strip. So, is it possible for the 360 to automatically turn on as soon as power is restored to it? This was possible on the Xbox1 by simply soldering the power switch together, but I can't find anything on the 360 about it. Also, is it safe to shut off the system by terminating the power?

Why would you bother when a simple press of the controller guide button will start the console and a long press brings up the option to shutdown ?
