Full Version: What Kind Of Hack Is This?

Hi, I was working on an XBOX360 board I just got second hand from ebay when I realized it has 2 small RESISTORS located just behind the A/V port, I don't know what those resistors are for but I think it has something to do with some kind of hack (I don't think is a repair).

I already asked the seller but she has NO idea on what kind of hack she had on her console.

The board is a XENON with a Toshiba/Samsung drive, the console can run backups with no problem (Not the new ones on XGD3).

Any ideas?

Looks like it could be the fan speed mod but those aren't the correct points, also if you want to play the XGD3 games you'll most likely have to update the firmware on the drive to LT3.0.

Many thanks for your response Jumpy_Beans, didnt know resistors were needed for just fans, isnt it easier to just connect (solder) the fans to a 12v point below the board?
