Hey ... just worked on a power brick today.
One of the smaller models - the 150 watt. Producing no power for the console. LED's not lighting at all.
Not too bad to open really. All that I had to replace was an Axial Fuse. A - T8AH 250V ... basically a slow blow 8 amp 250 v fuse ... that was soldered into the board
All better now. Checked the Fan while everything was a apart. Used a 9 volt battery to start the fan
If anyone has questions ... or a Power brick they would like looked at ... let me know

Well - I have an update on this Power brick.
The repair didn't hold. A new fuse went back out. Been looking it over. Don't see any evident burn outs
Pulled some Electro Caps, Ceramic, and Film Caps ... all those were fine. Also checked some transistors and a Thyristor ... those were OK too
Guessing I have a bad transformer. There are two in there.
At this stage, its not worth doing anymore repair work. Getting a new transformer will probably be as much as buying a working replacement brick
I should have known that something was responsible for killing the main fuse.
