Recently I noticed I no longer get notified via email when I receive a private message, why is that? I checked my junk mail folder and they aren't getting sent there either... Is there a setting in my control panel?
Email system is probably broken again.

Back in 2007 or so there was a simple PC app someone had mentioned here on XS (during another EMail outage) that would allow users to "subscribe" to threads and would notify them of new posts. It would poll the site periodically and check the threads for you.
Worked for Email as well. Worked very much like an offline mail reader.
Wasn't great but it worked. Don't recall the name. Anyone recall?

Email notifications seem to be working again.
As least for me, when I get a PM, the email appears soon afterwards.
