Im currently playing my xbox on fifa 12 (not that the game matters lol) and iv been playing it for over a good 3 hours and iv only just noticed my drive sounds fine then sometimes all of a sudden it sounds like it slows down then after 10-15 seconds it will go back faster, is this normal?


P.S my dvd drive is lite-on 93450C

Yes sounds normal to me.. means it slows down because it has nothing to read, and power up again because it is requested to access data on the disc. I always recommend to copy the games you play often on your HDD and in this way, avoid scratches on your precious discs, plus the game loads faster that way.
