I've noted that some games, avatar items, etc have been removed from the Xbox Live catalog for various reasons. I'm wondering if there's any possible way to obtain any of these? Ideally without being banned from XBL.

No legal way, unless you know someone who has already purchased the items.

If I illegally obtained the content would I be banned for using it?
