Using Ndure/UnleashX but have XBMC as default dash

If I have a game in the drive when I first turn on Xbox the game loads and I don't want that to happen...you might say well take out the game, well I leave the game in there because my Xbox has issues opening the DVD drive door if there's no CD/DVD in there

So you're not using UnleashX, you're using XBMC. rolleyes.gif

Temporarily put a blank disc in the drive. The clear plastic protector discs that often come with packs of blank discs are ideal, or an old CD/DVD turned upside down, or any disc that the Xbox won't read.

Longer term you should fix the DVD drive. It only takes 15 minutes.

thanks i'll try cleaning the drive belt, probably stretched out because the disc inside it will open fine - this video on youtube also helped http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owSmOwGqijM

there's c:\dash\default.xbe which I can't view via FTP

there's E:\dash\default.xbe <--- i copied over default dash installed and put xbmc there via ftp

You've clearly misread those posts. You don't clean the belt, you recondition it by heating it in boiling or near-boiling water, and even then it's a temporary fix, because the belt has already stretched, and all you are doing is making it shrink back for a while.

Why did you feel the need to tell us about files on your hard drive? I can't see how they are even slightly relevant........
