Hi all
Just a quick 1, My xbox-scene main page seems to be stuck on news about xk3y Gecko Windows App v1.01
and x360Glitchip v2 and 360gcProg v1.4?????wtf
I have tried all the news filters and cleared my cookies and history (firefox 12.0)

I just can't get anything newer on www.xbox-scene.com HELP !!!!!!
I'm missing out guys, i know there is new news as i've seen it on other sites???

Nope, it is stuck, as in no one updating it!

Happened right around the same time that XBH became broken again.

If I dont' use a proxy I get the following from there

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 58720256 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 29927019 bytes) in /home/xbh360/public_html/index.php on line 26

As a result, the traffic to that website has dropped significantly. All in all, making things pretty quiet.

yea i thought it was slow to but there is news. you just need to goto a different site now . this site used to be in my rotation of sites i check everyday but now it has gone to a once a week if that. i understand people being busy but now its been over a month and there is news out there..

Let's hope it doesn't get taken over by QuickJump. WiiNewz did that (if I recall correctly none of the forum posts were transferred to the new site), instantly turned to shit and now the domain's gone.

Does xboxhacker not work for you? Its been working fine for me and have not saw an issue with it the last couple weeks I have been go there almost daily looking it to some things.

If you see some news thats worth posting, post it just make sure you give credit where credit is due. The news is not what makes this site great it is the user base so if you see something worth talking about start a topic up and talk about. The same goes for in the Ps3 section and all other sections here. Just please do not bring any of the drama that happens on certain PS3 Hack related site.

News page still dead Is it time to abandon this site?

I still visit the forums at least once a day, so I'm not going. Rather than whine about the entire thing why don't you post some news like garyopa has done on the forums. This is one of the communities I really enjoy online I've met lots of interesting people here and I do enjoy visiting the forums after work and chilling out, reading interesting discussions. It's not all about the news page, in fact I've noticed some users here didn't even know about the main site after they posted a while until people linked them to the tutorials.

Sad to hear. This place was a wonderful time killer, source of information, and I even made some cash on the original xbox BST section. There were some wonderful people here back in the day.

Is it too early to pour one on the ground for Xbox-Scene, or should I hold out hope?

While the main page has been frozen for a while, the forums have always been here.
Hopefully we didn't/won't lose too many people.

As long as the plans that are in motion, keep flowing and get finished within another month being June at the most it will not be too bad.

Traffic and members will return, once the news gets flowing nice again, and that will happen as slowly old-timers are uniting behind the scenes to bring XS back to its former old glory.

News worthy events have appeared in the forums here at XS. For the last few month it simply hasn't made it to the news page for a variety of reasons. That will shortly be fixed.

I hope to see the site back and running sometime. This used to be one of my favorite sites, I find myself visiting less now. I still love it though.

Good to hear things are going to get revamped. I haven't given up on XS yet

"back in the day" being the key words in that sentence. Back in the day, people like Xeero, opjose, and BenJeremy made this place a treasure trove of useful information. They came here to (gasp!) help and educate people. Unfortunately, we now have people like Chancer, chorizo1, and hamwbone who come here to power-trip and flex their e-muscles.

Here's hoping a reborn XS features mods similar to those we were lucky enough to have back in the day. The return of the angry, drunken dwarf is an encouraging start...

Nice to see so many old faces around here. I still open this site on my routine website list, even though it hasn't been updated in so long.

I was never overly active in the forums, but I did idle in the IRC channel quite a bit over the years.

Glad to see it's not wrapped up yet, will be interesting when the news gets flowing again.

Here's hoping for a brand new website design and a forum running newer phpBB or vBulletin software. This site has been ugly and outdated for the last half decade.

And yes, before you ask, I'd be willing to put my skills where my mouth is. I've been a member for a decade, and have run both phpBB/vbulletin forums, wrote my own php/html/css/java.

The server is up and ready running BBS software.

We will have the phone number for you to dial into in a few days.
We are trying to work out the best area code where we have the highest XS member saturation.

I am sorry, I thought the plan was to run it on actual Xbox hardware, I am all setup just waiting for the rubber-dock-modem for the phone, so when the line rings I will run over and plug the phone into the holder and you can login, and I even got one of those new what do they call them 'toll-free' numbers so area code will not matter!

i was going to offer my help in updating the front page as this (x-scene) has always been my number one to check for news.
so i came here and checked where i could offer my help and stumbled upon this thread.
great, guys!!! relaunch sounds really good!
and i assume you are all set up, so there's probably no need (anymore) for stepping up and updating the main page.
can't wait!
anyway, my offer still stands. i could check/update news at least one or two times a day.
i am a long time member although i do not have that many posts. i'm always reading and stop by every day more than once. i have a good overall knowledge regarding the xbox (old and new).
for the sake of my "real" life, i wouldn't be disappointed, if i'm not the right guy.
but i would be really sad to see this site stagnate any longer. (meaning the front page. i know forums are ok.)
so, if i could be of any help, tell me.

Demon, please update the forums. They are soooooooo old and unfriendly that noobs have a hard time navigating or knowing where to post, and they also look very ugly. Not only that, but there are bot posts everywhere that haven't been deleted....

I'm willing to work on a theme for free just so they dont look so god damn prehistoric.

Edit: The search hasn't worked in about 5 years either.

I use the IP 2.1 Default Theme. I find it easier on the eye.

Edit, Also the search used to bring down the forums a lot. I think that's often why we make people read the "pinned threads" I could be wrong but X-S is pretty good with pinned threads and holding important information.

Does the X-S RSS feed work for anyone? It used to work all the time but now Firefox fails to load it in the bookmarks tab

I get "Live bookmark feed failed to load". But if I go to http://feeds.feedburner.com/XboxScene it appears to work fine.

yeah, no new news post since nov '12... we really need to know what happens to this once great sites for xbox hacking scene... even the "tutorial" link on the front page is never been updated anymore...
