Damn it! Another laser version.... anyone got a good source for these or know if they're compatible with anything more common/cheaper?

I tried a 15XX laser bc it fits and looks identical, no joy there.
Waiting for mbchip.com to reply with a price.
Other than that, I can't find this laser anywhere!!??

Indeed the 15xx fits but will not work. If I remember well, the ribbon pin layout is different. So, that part number (G2R2) is no where to find... be patient and wait.. I think in 1-2 months there will be availability. I believe they strip down new consoles to make parts for sale, that would explain why alibaba (Chinese market) had it available for pre-order but removed it.
