I was wondering if I can get banned for using my old 20gb HDD on my slim system? ( yes will go on live ) The system I have has the internal 4gb. The 20gb is in no way modified.

The fact remains that microsoft does whatever they want in order to make money. And they want you to buy a separate Slim hard drive.

Now I don't know how, but I am fairly certain it would be very easy for them to determine that you had a 20gb hard drive in a slim, and since you had to break the seal on the 20gb to get it in there, you're probably breaching their terms somewhere.

But I've been using a 20gb mine for about a year with no issues, so you're probably fine lol.

Yes that's what I was thinking about voiding the older HDD. I could have sworn I read or heard something about tampering with the HDD but I thought it was using 3rd party HDD with the system....
