Does anybody know how to install a 30cm Cold Cathode under my jewel?
please help as i'm almost finished my xbox and i'll post pics

wow 30 cenimeter CC is gonna be pretty hard to fit under your jewel...try using like a 8cm one and look around this forum a little bit there are a few recents.. good luck

diagonally is the only way the 30cm/12in CCFL will fit in the xbox. you will also have to trim some excess plastic from inside of the the top of the case in order to give you some more room. you may also want to transfer the CCFL tub into a smaller acylic tub (diagonally) in order to get it to fit as well. hope this helps and have fun modding.

jsut to clarify...you want a replacement acrylic tube with a smaller diameter.

I don't think that would be the case. The larger CCFL would be used to provide additional lighting effects if he modded his top case with some extra slits or something. Here is an example of my Xbox if your curious.

I can buy cold cathode lights in new zealand but they are $42 and the normal tube is $35 so much cheaper hehe i'm a cheap ass

Dude, I dont care where you live. Have you heard of "mailorder"?
Borrow your mom's credit card and order one online....
Search for "cathode fan", you can find a fan with an 80mm cc on it for under $10.
Just toss the fan and use the cc....
