Ok so I messed up my TSOP and I was thinking if I put M$'s bios on half of my X2.2 will I be able to go on XBL with that part of the bios or will I get banned?

If you go on XBLive with ANY modchips ENABLED...not matter what bios that chip is running, you WILL get banned

Cali, what the hell are you talking about?

Live does a BIOS check...it doesn't check the hardware. There's no telling what checks MS will induce in the future, but right now many people have an MS BIOS in one of their banks for Live purposes. Obviously, it's preferrable to just leave it on the TSOP and disable the mod when you'd like, but this is the best alternative.

ya...I keep forgetting about these new chips having multiple banks...as my X2.0 Lite has only 1...so I just disable the chip wink.gif

Also...doesnt it depend on if he has an x2.2 lite and pro..or do they both come with multiple banks?

Again...that is incorrect.

The X2.0 Lite has 2 banks, as do the X2.1 Lite and X2.2 Lite. All the Lites have 2 banks. All the Pros have 4.

uhhh u sure about that?! then how would you switch in between banks?!
CaliSurfer008
baahh...sorry Xeero...I am wrong

the X2 lite has 2x512k Flash Banks

The pins labeled "Bios"

I always thought that was just for what version xbox you had but its cause before there were multiversion bios's they had to ship them with a bios for 1.0 and another for 1.1

Well, I´m shure about it, having an x2.0 Lite myself. Removing or putting back one of the jumpers will change banks.

I did at first, also. XanTium's tutorial states this, and it is incorrect, unfortunately.

ya...so sorry about that and thanks for tellin me I'm wrong as now I'm going to go install a new bios on the other bank!! biggrin.gif I just never knew it was there

I guess I should have as that jumper for bios is for v1.0 or v1.1...meaning one bios had to be for each version...meaning there had to have been 2 banks...

Sorry about that Xeero...yet thanx!
