I read the "LPC mod chip installation troubleshooter" topic to see why my xbox was only booting to the ms dashboard. I found that d0 is connected (I checked the connection from the alternate d0 to the chip with a digital multimeter and it's fine) and it is grounded and showing a voltage of 5.1 when the xbox is on (also used DMM to see this). So the only thing I can think of is that either the evoX bios is installed (but I don't see how system-mods would ship me one with that bios) or I have a faulty chip. I was wondering if anyone has returned a chip and actually gotten a new one because it was faulty. If I send mine back and it's not faulty then with the troubleshooting fees and shipping both ways + customs and duties to canada it'll end up costing me the same (90$CAN) as buying a new one just to get the chip back that I've already tried everything with. I just want to make sure that at least one persons agrees with me that I should send it back before I decide to.
