I have Mame-X installed, with ROMS, and yesterday added Mameox.

I copied the Mameox files and folders into the Mame-x folder, renamed the Mameox default.xbe to oxdefault.xbe, and added it to evox.ini.

So I can now launch mameox and mame-x successfully, but when I exit a ROM in mameox, it jumps into Mame-x - same if I press the Y button in the Mameox menu.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Why is mameox loading mame-x? I left mame-x as default.xbe - do I have to rename both defaults?

you have to hex- edit ox so it looks for oxdefault.xbe, instead of default.xbe which is loading mx

How about if I left Mameox as default.xbe, and renamed mame-x to mxdefault.xbe? Would I still have to hex edit the Mame-X one?

How easy/which bits of the xbe do I have to update? Will I have to do that every time there is a new version?

ya u have to leave the mameox file names the same .. try renaming mame-x to whatever fits .. u should try mameox on its own tho, its come a long way and supports more games then mame-x does ..

do u want MAMEX and MAMEOX use the same ROMS folder?
