help!, i can ping my xbox within CMD/ipconig.exe but it want let me ftp.
It says packets sent 4, packets recieved 4, 0% loss, o milliseconds to complete. i'm in passive mode. whats wrong?
it's not the cable because it used to work under windows ME until i upgraded to xp. i think i have my firewall off.....

Make sure you assign your NIC card a static IP and make sure it has the same subnet mask. If that doesnt work then use the XP wizard to walk thru setting up a network connection. Also, are you using a router or hub?

you mean cmd and ping?
cause ipconfig doesn't ping. just shows you details of your comps nic.
anyway. what ftp prog? and turn passive mode off.
