I have a network crossover cable and i've had it working on my tower PC, but when i come to use it on my laptop it won't find the connection. The desktop PC has XP installed where the laptop has win ME on it. I didn't have to configure XP to do the connection it just went ahead. I'm very new to networking and i'd appreciate it if you fellows help me!!!

If you don't understand, read again until you do.

Set both pc and notebook to a set ip like notebook 192.168.0.1,PC to 192.168.0.2

And both pc's on same workgroup
