I'm beginning to think my xbox has mood swings. I was wondering if anyone knew of any tweaks to up d/l or u/l speeds. The reason I ask is my ftp speeds are so inconsistent. When I first ripped some games I was ftping at 1600K on average. Sometimes I would go as high as 3200k for an entire d/l . The other night I d/l on average 5200-5300k. Today I ripped at 2000k again. I can't figure out what the heck I'm doing. Any ideas. I like to d/l at 5200k all the time =)

Flash XP reports download speeds improperly.

Your Xbox is consistent for the most part, FlashXP is not.

I use SmartFTP, and it seams to be a little more consistent. Just an alternative for you to try, and see what happens.

Changed my router and wiring. Upgraded my and and the hd and my pc and in the xbox. (Well I started this post like 8months ago)

Now I am d/l about 11500k nice! Only from hd to hd. From the dvd rom to hd about 7-8000k

Still, I see that ftp speeds CAN be very hardware dependent.
