Question: Does the Matrix chip ever short out or just stop working? Mine was working great one day then the next I was getting the MS green BIOS. I figured that the chip must have moved out of alignment so I opened the XBOX and realigned the chip. Still no luck, the XBOX continues to load the MS BIOS.
Any ideas?

chips don't go bad, check the d0 thats the likely reason, also make sure you didn't rename evolutionx by mistake

Yeah id say the same as sparkac. The chip wouldn't go bad, it is more likely you have deleted the other dash (such as evox)
