all you need is an ethernet card in your computer, and a crossover cable hooking up your computer to your xbox

Not to ftp, but you do need a crossover cable and a NIC card.

you do for xbox live (internet gaming service), but to FTP files for modchip purposes all you need is a Pc, network card, crossover cable and of course an xbox

No. You can connect the xbox direct to your pc using a crossover cable, or using a router. A broadband connection is not required for any of these, however a NIC (network interface card) is required.

But if you must go online whit your Xbox you must have an Internet connection, ofcourese tongue.gif
