could i replace the ini file in my system withuot ftp to the xbox?

Burn to media (xiso) and use boxplorer for transfering would be an option.

just want to make sure it can be done i got to ad the option so i can play backups.

if i add this to the ini file it should give me the option to access the games in the hddSection "Root"

It will add all games in a directory under the f:\games directory. on the apps be aware that it only adds games or apps with a default.xbe. not all apps call the main program default.xbe so you either have to rename, or manually add them to the ini in the same section.

you lost me,you where could find a tutorial about it?unless you want to explain a little more.if i put this default.xbe in every game folder would it recornise it?

Xbox scene has quite a few tutorials related to evox (I think there is at least one on the ini file). Evox also has it's own site (linkable from the mainpage - it's on the right). They have their own forums and downloadable instruction guides. You should also utilize the sort command with autoadd to get everything in alphabetical order.
