ive been trying to align this damn chip for ages..........should a green light come on straight away? and will it still play the xbox startup animation when the chip is aligned? it will save me a lot of time waiting for it to boot if u dont have to wait for that.

ive had a matrix and could install that in 2 mins, but this bastard has fat pogo sticks and it doesn't even look like its touching the d0 point.

anyone got any helpful hints for me, before i start burning my feet with hot spoons!?!??!?

The startup animation is dependant on the BIOS that's on the chip. If you haven't flashed it, it should still be Xecuter's FlashBIOS. Ensure that you have the stock A/V cable connected if you're getting no video.

stick a piece of wire in the d0 so it hangs out and hits the pogo, tell me if it works.

It could be the laquer covering the board, i have found that you need to scrape it off GENTLY, till you see copper colour. If you scrape too much off then you will get a constant FRAG. It is dangerous if you are heavy handed

Just a dumb question, do you have switch to DISABLED when looking for green light?

I just finished installing my x2.2 lite + and i must have rebooted 50+ times realigning it hoping to see green light come out. But later, I read somewhere the chip switch has to be disabled in order for the green light to come on when aligned properly.

So, I switched to DISABLED, and got it aligned the first couple of tries. I swore of all the tutorials, FAQs, or even system-mod's instruction. I did not find any mention of green light only come on when it's DISABLED, could have saved me all the grief... argh.

anyways, it could be as simple as this.

Similar problem here; The orange LED blinks for a second at power-on, then it shuts off, until I power down the xbox, at which point it blinks again, but then goes off as the blue LEDs do. I tried connecting the switch and enabling/disabling the chip, but no dice.

As far as scraping d0, I've done that and f*ed it up, so I've got a wire running hanging out of the front d0 point, running around the board to the rear d0 point.. At least the xbox has stopped fragging and will boot normally again... I've tried another X2lite+ and get the same result, so I don't believe it to be the chip.

Any suggestions..? Apply some extra solder to the front d0 point to create a larger surface for the pogo pin?

Damn... why didn't I just go for the Pro's.. the whole point was not having to solder.. D'OH! blink.gif

TIA..

I had the exact same problem a couple of days ago with a new lite+, i.e. the yellow/orange light came on for 1 second or so on power up then came on again momentarily when powering down. After a couple of hours of futzing around with no change, I decided to put everything back together and give it a shot, and voila--Cromwell screen. After that, everything from chip flash to evox went like butter.

i think i scraped too much and its fragging...someone point me to which points to solder? (no more lite+ for me, fudge)

I am using the same chip. Can someone please confirm that the green light only comes on if the switch is set to disable? I haven't read that in any of the tutorials or messages I have been searching for an answer to my problem. I get a green light if the switch is disabled. With the switch enabled I get FRAG. No drive eject no cromwell screen. If the green light isn't supposed to come on what should I do now? I have been trying to get the green light on for two hours now with the switch enabled. The DO seems to be working fine.
