My chip is an X-Ecuter 2.2 lite, connected using the headerpin. With the chip on, the Xbox starts and reboots 2 times, then blinks red/green. These same results happen with Bank 1 and 2 selected, and on Protected and Unprotected mode. With the chip off, the Xbox boots normally with the original BIOS.

I have soldered/resoldered the LPC points several times, and I'm about ready to give up. This is really dissapointing, I can't believe I'm going to have to cough up $60+ for an installation. *sigh*

sounds like a bad solder joint. Check your pin header soldering. You may want to just reheat each connection and add a touch of solder. (it takes quite a bit to fill the connection)

check the points with a multimeter. follow the lpc point to the end of the trace and check b/n them. then check b/n the connector end of the wire and the end of the trace. if they are good and you get teh 3x reset frag deal then you are in the same boat as me. im getting a programmer soon, so hopefully that will fix it.

Seems like you need a different bios on it
