i was wondering if anyone saw or knows how to make bg and sw a night level?
this would be badass and then maybe replace a few scenery things with lights
any info?

I saw something about a sky bitmap so I bet if you changed it so it was something dark it'd work. I don't know if the board would be dark but the sky would be.

I'm guessing that it would just make the sky dark and not the rest of the level, but that would be awesome if it made the whole level dark! You would have to use your flashlight to see.

I think only one sky texture is precached, so not likely...
Basically, it's the same with vehicles and how you can't use the Scorpion tank in levels that do not have them...

It makes the sky dark but the sun is still there so everything is daylighted... How did you find this value? This is not in the blood gulch map file is it?

I've allready sucessfully made the sky dark grey and the clouds black. THere's one for the sky, two for the planets, one for halo and then there's one fore the sun (these are all obvious locations on Bolls lists). You can assign other bitmaps to them (I used a dark grey metal plating) to make the sky totally grey. This works well, but the light sources are still there ... I haven't found anyplacee to edit those light sources yet.
