Let me guess your using if from the f partition right? This build is broken due to a new patch, it won't work as a dash and filezilla won't work from f. It has however now been fixed in cvs. Just wait for "the Usual Places" to catch up.

Do not use the 9th release.
Delete the system.bin in e:\tdata face007 and check that your config.xml have the right <home> dir set if you are using a version after this.

you can put in an evox boot disk or something like that to enable ftp so you can fix your problem

Get the newest cvs builds at xbins ftp. Got to irc and get the l/p for xbmp.uk.xbins.org
The 8-24-03 compiled is on this server. Newer will be added when awailable.

Note! You need to put a backslash behind the home address then should work, like this:
CODE
<home>F:\Apps\XBMP\</home>
QUOTE (Drpiety @ Sep 7 2003, 08:37 PM)
<map> D:,Cdrom0 </map>
PS! Never map the DVD/CD-ROM drive in config.xml ...it even sais so in the 2.4 manual

I am having problems with the xbmp password. i have installed a new fresh version, to the place i always install on my other xbox's and the password is NOT xbox/xbox. It for some reason will not read the file or something that holds the passwords. I have tried adding new users, with new passes (in md5 hash) and still NOTHING. This is quite annoying since avalaunch crashes, evo-x ftp server crashes, and i dont want to open the box again. can anyone actually help?

In config.xml check and DOUBLE check your <home> tag!!!
Check so the folder isnīt xbmp if yo have it installed in xbmp24 etc etc etc.
Default login and password is xbox/xbox and if it do not work there is a setup error on your side.
