I have used allot of operating systems (all windows, linux, sun and other) and I have never tried MAC os wink.gif Is it possible to install the mac os on a standard pc? Thanks!

Nope. That'd kick ass. As much as I like the way my iMac G4 looks, it'd be a lot cheaper to just install OSX on a PC.
You can run XP on Mac OSX thru Virtual PC.

Apple is bullshit. Always has and always will be its made for idiots.

the new apple G5 supports up to 8 GIGABYTES of RAM...SD-RAM, but even still!! Dual 2 Ghz, 500 Gb hard drive space... /drools

Who's that rap-tap-tapping on this thread?
I love the Mac OS, but I understand it doesn't suit all tastes. If you're going to troll, at least give some half-assed reasons.

Why bump? It's not possible. There are emus for PC to run older versions of Mac OS, but I doubt anything about OS 8.0 would run at a speed worth dealing with.

osx is kick ass... its just too bad you have to buy an overpriced piece of hardware to get it.

i'm the one on top of the pic.
the macs (white computers) have flat, widescreen panals and so i play DVD's sometimes when i'm working.

i have a g4 powermac and a xp box(p4) hooked together on a kvm switch and still find myself using the xp box about 90% of the time........

(i bought the apple since it was at a great price and i wanted to learn the osX operating environment)

if your NOT doing video editing why use the apple? im still trying to find out......its pretty but not as much usefulness to it.

huh.gif Your question has been answered, it won't be happening on a PC anytime soon, as there's no demand. Macs have a Windows emu, because they're the underdog. No open-source PC emu=no XBox emu. I'd venture to say ever.
It'd run so mind-numbingly slow on an Xbox (since the hardware is totally different, has no RAM) anyway, that it's not worth it.
At best, you might get an Xbox emu to run OS9 slowly.
I also think it's amazing how many peope decided this thread would be a nice place to slam Macs. dry.gif
