Hello,

I have a dead xbox with Samsung dvd-rom (xbox 1.1)
If I buy a new xbox and it has a Thompson/Philips dvd-rom
can I just place the Samsung dvd-rom in it?
Does it work with xbox 1.0/1.2/1.3 and do I have to edit the eeprom?

It's because the samsung dvd-rom can read cd-r (I tested it!)

For God Sake, SEARCH! mad.gif Or go post this in the newbie forum. (Sorry, but this question has been answered a billion times)....But yes it will work without and mods (Assuming your not talking about a Samsung 616t)

Heh, don't get so nervous wink.gif. Not right forums... but.

Anyway chevrix: yes, you can easilly replace that Thomson or Phillips with your Samsung. You only need to plug in the drive. And have fun with it tongue.gif.
