Have you got an unused Matrix programmer lying around?
You can use it to flash your own cheapmod chips. All you need is a small adapter, and I have a few that I have made. It's a 10-pin female header block, attached to a small board with male headers arranged in the cheapmod PCB design, so it's really easy to use. I have attached a few pics to give you an idea of how it works.
You can use the Matrix/Chameleon flash program available from xodus-chip.com to flash your cheapmods with this adapter.

If anyone wants one, let me know. I am selling them for $10.00 shipped. So if you have a Matrix programmer, you can turn it into a cheapmod programmer for almost less than it costs to buy a cheapmod.

I have a few Matrix Programmers that I have modded, so now they are powered by USB. This way you don't need to use 9-volt battery. The programmers are powered by your PC's USB port. No need to worry about a bad flash from a weak battery, the power is always constant on these programmers.
