Hey list, has anyone had problems running Outlaw Golf? I first tried the cd release by riot, no luck. I patched it r-olmfix.ppf, no luck.

Then I tried the project-x dvd release. Still no luck. So right now, I'm trying it again after patching it with px-olgf.ppf. I didn't patch it the first time because the patch is supposed to be for beta engimahs, and I though my enigmah was final.

I'll post results in a few... all my coworkers keep talking about this damn game smile.gif Can't wait to play it...

ok, update, no luck with the patched iso project-x release either. The game loads fine, but after the character intros, I get an error message in the game that says that the disc is dirty or damaged.

Prassi Primo 2
Verbatim DVD-RW
Pioneer A04

Any ideas?

Ouch, I don't really know what to tell you. I burned this with the patch when it first came out (DVD version). I've not had a problem (Burned to a ritek DVD-R). I used a Pioneer a04 also.
I do notice that you list a DVD-RW as the media. Did you try a different disk? Also, have you tried extracting the files and burning them using the UDF format. In other words, keep the directory structure and burn the disk. The same way that you would using the game selector.

It did the same thing to me same error at the same time.
using :
Prassi Primo 2
PRINCO DVD-RW
Pioneer A03

I burned another copy the same way (as a UDF) and it worked, it also worked on the 3rd disk I burned out.
The only difference was I had to create a save the first time with the first disk and on the second and third disk I loaded that save (I know that sounds dumb but that was truly the only difference and it can't hurt to try)

It worked!

Andre and NK, thanks for the replies. Here's what I did to get it working, based on your posts -

- extracted project-x iso using isotools 1.1
- added files to prassi 2
- added folders to prassi 2
- burned to dvdrw as udf

One thing to note though - the load time right before you start a round of golf is really long. I'm thinking 2+ minutes. Once you're in a round of golf, the load times between holes is decent (about 15 seconds).

Fun game nonetheless... !
