My xbox won't start up. Well it does, however it has the same symtoms as that of anon in one of the general tutorials "fixing the red/orange flashing light". The box tries to start up, the light turns green, then shuts down, turns green again and shuts down, turns green a third time and then flashes red and orange. The screen is blank. I used a voltage meter to test the LPC/debug routes and the soldering appears to be fine, and the proposed fix would not seem to work. However, I have nearly no experience at all with electronics, and was wondering if someone would be able to give me some help so I could fix it. Also, should I post this on another forum on this page? Thanks to all who will reply.

No, I have not modded it yet, but now I am considering.

So you got it new from the factory, and it won't start?

I purchased it new in dec. 2001, so it is the first version, with no mods. Thanks to everyone who is taking the time to look at this and see if they can help. Has this happened to many other people?
