3 wires came loose today when only 2 were loose at the beginning. I was trying to get the 2 soldered back but my hand was shaking too much tongue.gif . It was literally out of control moving all over the xbox main board. Any idea how I can keep my hand steady when soldering or should I just give it to a pro?

take some diazepam. its what solid snake uses in metal gear solid to get a steady shot. tongue.gif no but dont really though hahah

I found my hands shaking a lot less when I didn't think about messing the soldering up. Just calm down and don't concentrate on the point so much.

Yea thats the way to do it just concentrate on something else not the task at hand.

Well last night I was working on it and my brother did 3 wires but 1 came loose and while I looked at it closer I noticed 3 more loose wires. I woke up this morning to give it another try and i found out the easiest way to do it is to hold your hand thats holding the soldering iron against something that is not shaking, I put it against my head and moved closer to point while holding the wire down with my left hand. It went well and all the wires are in place and my xbox is running. Though the soldering job is really messy and the wires are all tangled but it works.

Next time your hand starts shaking stop soldering and put your hand to good use and put it in your pants!! laugh.gif

Then when you are finished go and drink 6 beers and start soldering sad.gif
